Ice Age Fossils State Park
Meet the mammoths and other giants that once lived in this valley through exhibits and life-size sculptures. The short Megafauna Trail is a good place to begin.
Lakes, big trees and the old Tule Springs ranch make this a good place to slow down. Bring a picnic and leave time to wander the grounds.

The water and shade are the draw here, with mountain views beyond the lawns. The historic ranch buildings add something to explore between a lakeside walk and lunch.

Checked September 11, 2026; confirm before leaving.$6 per vehicle; the city also publishes selected free-entry dates.
